What’s your Barter IQ?

ITEX-Co-op_Logo_3-e1333527603181After I started building websites, in 2004, I got occasional barter offers from prospective clients, but I just didn’t have much need for day care services, jazzercise, or tanning bed sessions! Once in a while, I agreed to favorable trades, but only if I really needed, or really wanted, what was offered. I realized I was missing out on some opportunities to do some interesting projects, but I didn’t know how to make those deals work. Then I learned about ITEX, a national barter network, which has a local office in Gulf Shores. I found that the membership fees were very affordable, less than running a classified newspaper ad for one weekend. Also that I can post free nationwide ads! When I did, I received numerous barter inquiries. When I accept a barter job, I earn “barter dollars” that I can trade for anything offered by any other ITEX members! As a result, I’ve bartered my website services at full retail price with highly motivated ITEX members, who want my services, from all over the U.S.A. And I’ve purchased week-long vacations in North Carolina and condo stays at the beach, along with business printing and other necessities.

You can tap into the same opportunities to “trade” your services, excess inventory or idle labor to other business owners – anywhere in the U.S.A. – for services you are now paying cash for, like travel, printing, advertising, and website expenses(that could be me). If you’re interested in learning more about ITEX, what the membership fees are, or just barter in general, contact me, Dan the Web Guy. If you submit the Inquiry Form below, it will insure that I have a written copy of your contact info and questions to refer back to. Thanks, Dan
